| A firmware upgrade for the 8845A/46A 6.5-digit multimeter is now available. This upgrade has the OutGuard and InGuard firmware versions released in first customer shipments.
The download includes instructions, new firmware files, and upgrade installer software. The zipped file is about 3.3 MB in size.

This upgrade is only needed in Fluke 8845A or 8846A instruments with firmware versions below OutG SW 1.0.688.18 and/or InG SW ad000130. These generally should be only those Demo units shipped before first customer deliveries. You can check firmware versions by pressing the front panel INSTR SETUP | SYSTEM | VERSIONS +SN buttons.
Firmware Installer Software Requirements:
- A PC running Microsoft XP with an Ethernet network port to perform the upgrade
- An Ethernet Crossover cable connected to the 8845A/46A or the 8845A/46A connected to a LAN
In the downloaded zip file, read the "Fluke 884x Firmware upgrade.pdf" file for instructions on loading the firmware into the 8845A/46A. |
